NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above Order made by Northamptonshire County Council on 22nd December 2011 and which came into effect on 23rd December 2011 has been extended until the works to which it relates have been completed or until midnight on 23
December 2012 whichever is sooner by the Secretary of State for Transport. Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said footpaths is unaffected.
REASONS FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required to in the interest of health and safety as the bridge is still deemed unsafe.

The paths to be closed are TL5 in the Parish of Irchester and UL10 (part) in the Borough of Wellingborough.
Public footpath TL5 to be closed begins off the A45 Higham Road at Point A on the map at National Grid Reference (NGR) SP92110 66777. From here the footpath travels 229 metres generally north west to Point B at NGR SP 91935 66924. The route then travels 58 metres generally north west to Point C at NGR SP 91883 66947. From here it travels 84 metres west of north crossing over a stream. The route then continues and crosses over the River Nene at the parish boundary with Wellingborough at Point D at NGR SP 91840 67020. It then continues as public footpath UL10 in a west of north direction for 20 metres to terminate at Point E at NGR SP 91883 67038 at the junction with UL9.
The route is shown by a solid black line between points A – B – C – D – E.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: There is no suitable alternative.
