CITY COUNCIL NOTICES TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS (GREEN LANE) COVENTRY Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding along Green Lane from its junction with King’s Hill Lane to a point 75.0 metres to the north east when prescribed signs are displayed. The Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on 19th September 2018 and is required to enable works on behalf of Severn Rent Water in Green Lane to take place safely. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months to allow for unexpected events or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is envisaged that the works will be completed by 21st September 2018. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be sign posted on site. Exemptions will be provided for: (a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform civil enforcement officer in uniform; (b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; (c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works (d) local vehicular access to adjacent properties. TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS ABBOTTS LANE, COVENTRY Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along: – (a) Abbotts Lane in a southwest direction from number 42 to its junction with Upper Hill Street; (b) Abbotts Lane from Brookville House onto Mill Street to its junction with Middleborough Road when prescribed signs are displayed. The Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on Monday, 17 September 2018 and is required to enable gas mains works on Abbotts Lane to take place safely. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 21 December 2018. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site. Exemptions will be provided for: (a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform; (b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; (c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; ( d) reasonable local vehicular access to Abbotts Lane. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WHITE STREET, COVENTRY Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along White Street from its junction with Bird Street for 80 meters in a north-eastern direction when prescribed signs are displayed. The Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on Sunday, 16 September 2018 and is required to enable hydrant works in White Street to take place safely. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed the same day. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site. Exemptions will be provided for: (a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform; (b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; (c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; (d) reasonable local vehicular access to White Street. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS HIRON CROFT, COVENTRY Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading along Hiron Croft and to prevent vehicles from entering or proceeding along Hiron Croft from its junction with Stoney Road to its southernmost extent when prescribed signs are displayed. The Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on Monday, 17 September 2018 and is required to enable water supply maintenance works on Hiron Croft to take place safely. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site. Exemptions will be provided for: (a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform; (b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; (c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; (d) reasonable local vehicular access to Hiron Croft. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. NOTICE OF INTENT PROPOSED INSTALLATION OF CONTROLLED PEDESTRIAN CROSSING (PUFFIN) HOCKLEY LANE Notice is hereby given that, Coventry City Council (“the Council”), pursuant to its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intends to install a (1) controlled (puffin) crossing on Hockley Lane. The proposed crossing will be located approximately seventeen and a half (17.5) metres south of the junction with Church Lane. The proposed crossing should assist pedestrians to cross the road. The works should be completed by end of February 2019. Any person requiring more information in connection with this proposal should contact the Council’s Traffic Management Team, during normal office hours on telephone number 024 76832035. A copy of this Notice and a plan detailing the location of the said crossing may be inspected at The Council House (Reception Area), Earl Street, Coventry, CV1 5RR during normal office hours. TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS GRAFTON STREET, COVENTRY Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Grafton Street to such an extent when prescribed signs are displayed. The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Friday, 21 September 2018 and is required to plane and patch works on Grafton Street to take place safely. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 31 March 2019. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site. Exemptions would be provided for: (a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform; (b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; (c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; (d) reasonable local vehicular access to Grafton Street. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. TEMPORARY PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY CLOSURE (PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY FOOTPATH LINKING GERARD AVENUE AND MITCHELL AVENUE) COVENTRY Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which would be to prohibit pedestrians and all footpath users from entering or proceeding along the footpath linking Gerard Avenue and Mitchell Close when prescribed signs are displayed. The Order would come into operation at 08.00 hours on Friday, 21 September 2018, and is required to enable housing development works in Gerard Avenue. It is expected that the works will be completed by 20 March 2019. The Order would remain valid for six (6) months to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works, or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. Diversion(s) will be as signed on site. Exemptions would be provided for any persons in connection with the execution of the said works. TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS MEDINA ROAD AND CALUDON ROAD, COVENTRY Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Medina Road and Caludon Road to such an extent when prescribed signs are displayed. The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Friday, 21 September 2018 and is required to enable drainage works and associated works on Medina Road and Caludon Road to take place safely. The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 31 March 2019. Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site. Exemptions would be provided for: (a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform; (b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; (c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; (d) reasonable local vehicular access to Medina Road and Caludon Road. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
