MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED) ORDER NO. MCC0002388 Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): (MCC0002388) The City of Manchester (QUEENS ROAD, HULME HALL ROAD, ALAN TURING WAY AND POTTERY LANE, (Cheetham, Harpurhey ,Ancoats and Clayton, Bradford, Miles Platting and Newton Heath and Gorton North)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2017. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule when signage as per current and relevant codes of practice are in place at the points of the prohibition or restriction. The alternative routes for traffic will be: 1. Local diversion routes will be in place and signed appropriately The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate re surfacing of the roads. It is expected that the works will be in progress between 19 August and 20 August 2017. It is anticipated that the closure/restriction for the works will not exceed four hours at any one time from the proposed start date. The provisions of this order shall only be enforceable when signage as per current and relevant codes of practice are in place at the points of the prohibition or restriction. The order shall come into operation on the 19-August-2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
