MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED) ORDER NO. MCC00002236 Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): (MCC00002236)The City of Manchester (Cross Street and Cooper Street City Centre)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic and suspension of Compulsory Right Turn) Order. The effect of the Order is to prohibit traffic on Cross Street between St Marys Gate and Market Street and the temporary suspension of the compulsory right turn from Cooper Street into Princess Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: New Market, Pall Mall, Marsden Street, Cheapside, King Street, Brown Street, Booth Street, Cooper Street, Princess Street, Portland Street, Oxford Road, Peter Street, Deansgate. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane lift. It is expected that the works will be in progress between 23:00hrs on the 23rd July 2017 and 05:45hrs on the 24th July 2017 The order shall come into operation on the 23rd July 2017 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
