40 Mph Speed Limit Order 2019.

CITY OF BRISTOL VARIOUS ROADS, BEDMINSTER GREEN AREA, SOUTHVILLE WARD, RESERVED BUS LANES, ONE WAY TRAFFIC, PROHIBITED MANOEUVRES AND SPEED LIMITS – TRAFFIC ORDERS The City Council of Bristol hereby gives NOTICE it proposes to make the following traffic orders:- A. Ref No. CAE/RGW/P-1229A – the City Council of Bristol (Dalby Avenue and Malago Road, Southville Ward, City of Bristol) (Reserved Bus Lanes) Order 202-, the effect of which would be:- 1. to introduce an inbound bus lane in Dalby Avenue and Malago Road to operate at any time; and 2. to reduce the length of the existing outbound bus lane in Malago Road to begin south of Hereford Street. B. Ref No. CAE/RGW/P-1229B – the City Council of Bristol (Various Roads, Bedminster Green Area, Southville Ward, City of Bristol) (One Way Traffic and Prohibited Manoeuvres) Order 202-, the effect of which would be:- 1. to introduce eastbound one way traffic in Hereford Street and Whitehouse Lane, from Malago Road to Philip Street; 2. to introduce prohibition of left turn from Stafford Street into Dalby Avenue; and 3. to introduce prohibition of entry from Dalby Avenue or Malago Road into Stafford Street. C. Ref No. CAE/RGW/P-1229C – the City Council of Bristol (Various Roads – Inner South Area, Bedminster, Brislington East, Brislington West, Filwood, Knowle, Lawrence Hill, Southville and Windmill Hill Wards, City of Bristol) (De-Restriction) (Restricted Roads) (20 Mph Speed Limit) (40 Mph Speed Limit) Order 202-, the effect of which would be:- 1. to introduce 20 mph speed limits in lengths of Bedminster Road, Church Lane, Dalby Avenue (A38), Dickinsons Fields, Malago Road, Sheene Road (A38), Sheene Way, St. John’s Lane and St. John’s Road in place of existing 30 mph speed limits; and 2. to revoke the City Council of Bristol (Various Roads, Inner South Bristol Area, Bedminster, Lawrence Hill, Southville and Windmill Hill, City of Bristol) (East Central, South, South East and South West Zones) (De-Restriction) (20 mph Speed Limit) Order 2010 and the City Council of Bristol (Various Roads – Inner South Area, Bedminster, Brislington East, Brislington West, Filwood, Knowle, Lawrence Hill, Southville and Windmill Hill Wards, City of Bristol) (De-Restriction) (Restricted Roads) (20 Mph Speed Limit) (40 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2019 – all remaining speed limits in all other roads regulated by virtue of these orders would be brought forward into the proposed order unamended. Opportunity would also be taken to correct anomalies between the provisions of the existing speed limit order and on-site road markings/signs in Marsh Road and William Street.
